Terms of Use

Version 1.1 — February 23, 2026DPO : dpo@csc-safe-tx.com
Your protection starts here. These Terms of Use govern access to the duress protection services for digital assets published by CSC TX SASU. CSC TX is a security software publisher — not a physical security company. Our technology, protected by three French patents, provides the silent alerting and evidence collection tools that can make the difference in a coercion situation. By using our services, you accept the conditions below.

Article 1 — Purpose and scope

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "ToU") define the rules for accessing and using the service published by CSC TX, a simplified joint-stock company with a sole shareholder (SASU) with a share capital of €100.00, registered with the Thonon-les-Bains Trade and Companies Register under number 995 072 535, EUID FR7402.995072535, with its registered office at 5 C Avenue de Mossingen, 74160 Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, France (hereinafter "CSC TX" or "the Publisher").

These ToU apply to any user of the csc-safe-tx.com website, the CSC Wallet Application, the Trusted App and the CSC TX API, whether access is free or paid. They are supplemented by the General Terms of Sale and the Privacy Policy.

The Service is a complementary tool for silent alerting and contextualised evidence collection. It does not in any way replace emergency services (17 — Police, 112 — European emergency, 15 — SAMU, 18 — Fire brigade) which the User is encouraged to contact first in any dangerous situation.

Any use of the Service implies full and complete acceptance of these ToU.

Article 2 — Service description

CSC TX SASU is a duress protection software publisher for digital assets. CSC TX is not a close protection service, nor a licensed private security company within the meaning of French Law No. 83-629 of 12 July 1983. CSC TX designs and operates technological tools for silent alerting, evidence collection and digital asset protection during physical coercion.

CSC Wallet

Non-custodial crypto-asset wallet integrating a silent alert mechanism in case of physical coercion. The User retains exclusive control of their private keys; CSC TX never has access to them. Compatible with 7 blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, Solana and Bitcoin.

Trusted App

Web and mobile platform enabling the User to configure their trusted contact network, receive cascading alerts and manage protected profiles. The Trusted App is freely accessible (no subscription required) for trusted contacts and protected persons designated by a subscriber.

CSC TX API

B2B solution for exchanges, banks, neobanks and security operators (SOC). The API integrates the CSC duress protocol directly into the partner's infrastructure. B2B terms are subject to a specific licence agreement.

Alert mechanism

Under duress, the User can trigger a silent alert indiscernible to the attacker. This alert transmits to the trusted contacts and/or partner SOC the following information, depending on sensors activated by the User (each sensor requires specific consent): GPS geolocation, timestamp, audio stream, video stream, photo capture, device metadata.

The technical operation of the indiscernibility mechanism is covered by French patents and is not detailed herein.

Technical limitations

The proper functioning of the Service depends on factors external to CSC TX, including: mobile or internet network availability, the condition and compatibility of the User's device, battery level, and network coverage. CSC TX cannot be held responsible for transmission failures related to these factors.

Article 3 — Access to services and account creation

Access to the Service is reserved for adult natural persons (aged 18 or over). The User creates an account by providing a valid email address and password. Email address verification is required.

Each natural person may hold only one account. The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their credentials and for any activity carried out from their account. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.

The User may terminate their account at any time from the Application settings or by contacting contact@csc-safe-tx.com.

Article 4 — User obligations

The User agrees to:

  • use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these ToU;
  • not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent or public order purposes;
  • not trigger false alerts; any misuse may result in immediate account termination, billing of incurred costs and possible legal proceedings;
  • not attempt to bypass, disable or compromise the duress protection system;
  • not attempt to decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the Service;
  • keep their account information and trusted contacts up to date;
  • keep their main PIN code and emergency code securely, separately, and not share them with anyone;
  • configure at least one trusted contact or partner SOC to ensure proper alert transmission.
In case of immediate danger, the User is encouraged to first contact emergency services: 17 (Police), 112 (European emergency), 15 (SAMU), 18 (Fire brigade). CSC TX is a complementary tool and does not replace these services.

Article 5 — Intellectual property

CSC TX holds three French patents filed in 2025. An international extension is underway.

All elements of the Service (software, algorithms, protocols, interfaces, documentation, CSC Safe-TX brand, logo, content) are protected by intellectual property law. The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence, strictly limited to personal use of the Service.

Any reproduction, modification, distribution or reverse engineering, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation from CSC TX.

Article 6 — Liability and limitation

CSC TX SASU is a software publisher, not a physical security provider. The Service does not guarantee law enforcement intervention or fund recovery in all cases. Fund recovery depends in particular on the relevant blockchain network, confirmation times and smart contract configuration, where applicable.

Best-efforts obligation

CSC TX is bound by a best-efforts obligation, not an obligation of result. CSC TX implements all reasonable technical means to transmit the alert and contextualised evidence to the recipients designated by the User as quickly as possible.

Exclusions of liability

CSC TX cannot be held liable for:

  • any bodily, material or immaterial damage resulting from a physical coercion situation;
  • the intervention or non-intervention of law enforcement or any emergency service;
  • the actions or inactions of trusted contacts designated by the User or the partner SOC;
  • unavailability of mobile or internet network or any external technical factor;
  • the loss, theft or compromise of the User's device;
  • any fraudulent use of the User's account resulting from the User's negligence;
  • any indirect damage, including loss of opportunity, data loss or commercial harm;
  • the loss of crypto-assets, the Wallet being non-custodial — CSC TX never has access to the User's private keys or funds;
  • a loss of digital assets resulting from physical coercion exercised before the User activated the protection protocol.

Liability cap

In any event, the total liability of CSC TX, for all causes combined, is limited to the amounts actually paid by the User during the twelve (12) months preceding the triggering event.

Force majeure

CSC TX cannot be held liable in case of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code, including but not limited to: natural disaster, armed conflict, pandemic, generalised telecom infrastructure failure, attack against blockchain infrastructure, government or judicial decision.

The User remains responsible for correctly configuring their trusted contact network. CSC TX implements all reasonable technical means to transmit the alert and contextualised evidence as quickly as possible. The Service is a complementary alert and evidence collection tool and does not in any way replace emergency services (17, 112, 15, 18) which the User is encouraged to contact first.

Article 7 — Pricing and billing

CSC TX offers three subscription plans for individuals (B2C): Basic (€5.99/month incl. VAT or €59.99/year incl. VAT), Silver (€26.99/month incl. VAT or €269.99/year incl. VAT) and Gold (€49.99/month incl. VAT or €499.99/year incl. VAT). Detailed features for each plan are set out in the General Terms of Sale.

Payment is made by bank card via the Stripe secure payment platform (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Direct debit is automatic, monthly or yearly depending on the chosen plan.

The subscription renews automatically at each due date, unless terminated by the User before the renewal date.

In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the User has a fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal from the date of subscription, unless they have expressly requested immediate performance of the Service and consented to the loss of this right in accordance with Article L.221-28.

In case of termination during an annual period, the refund is calculated pro-rata for the remaining period.

Article 8 — Duration, termination, suspension

These ToU apply for the entire duration of the User's use of the Service.

Annual subscription: termination at any time. Pro-rata refund for the remaining period. No termination fees.

Suspension and termination by CSC TX

CSC TX reserves the right to suspend or terminate a User's account in case of violation of these ToU, proven misuse, repeated triggering of false alerts, or fraudulent use of the Service. The User will be notified by email.

Data deletion

Upon termination, the User's personal data will be deleted within thirty (30) days, in accordance with the retention policy described in the Privacy Policy. Evidence collected during past alerts is retained for ninety (90) days after termination.

Article 9 — Personal data

CSC TX processes personal data in the course of providing the Service, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act.

GPS geolocation data, audio and video streams, and photo captures are only collected with the explicit consent of the User, sensor by sensor. This consent is revocable at any time.

The User has the right to access, rectify, erase, port, object to and restrict the processing of their data, exercisable by contacting the DPO at dpo@csc-safe-tx.com or via the Application features.

For more details, the User is invited to consult the Privacy Policy available at csc-safe-tx.com/legal/privacy.

Article 10 — Modification of ToU

CSC TX reserves the right to modify these ToU at any time. The User will be notified by email and/or in-app notification at least thirty (30) days before the new conditions take effect.

Continued use of the Service after the modifications take effect constitutes acceptance. In case of refusal, the User may terminate their account free of charge.

Article 11 — Applicable law and disputes

These ToU are governed by French law.

In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute and failing an amicable resolution, the consumer User has the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge. The mediator designated by CSC TX will be communicated as soon as effectively designated.

In accordance with EU Regulation No. 524/2013, the User may also file a complaint on the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Any dispute not falling under consumer mediation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Judicial Court of Thonon-les-Bains.

Miscellaneous provisions

If any provision of these ToU is declared null or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

The failure of CSC TX to enforce any breach by the User of any of their obligations shall not be construed as a waiver of the relevant obligation.

These ToU constitute the entire agreement between the User and CSC TX regarding the use of the Service, subject to the General Terms of Sale and the Privacy Policy.
